Dear Mrs. Lastri

A low hemoglobin count (or often referred as anemia) can be caused by various things, can be a lack of production, increase destruction of red blood cells, or blood loss.

Hb is important to deliver oxygen throughout the body, of course, a very low hemoglobin condition may endanger.

Low Hb without obvious symptoms may be caused by a slow decline, but levels below 7 g/dL despite no symptoms, it is not good for your health. You should immediately go to an internist, to do a structured interview, physical examination, and simple laboratory tests.

Hope it helps.
